About TrustLoop

A small, open-source tool for collecting customer testimonials and turning them into live social proof.

What is a testimonial?

A testimonial is a short written endorsement from a real customer. It usually includes their name, company, role, a star rating, and a few sentences about their experience. On TrustLoop, approved testimonials appear on your public collection page and in the embeddable widget you can drop on any website.

Made for founders

Built for creators, indie hackers, and small teams who want to show real customer love without building a CMS.

Works anywhere

Your public collection page lives on the web, and the widget can be embedded on any site with a single line of HTML.

Privacy-first

Submissions are held for your approval. Nothing goes live until you say so, and you control what data is collected.

Open source

The full source is on GitHub. Inspect the code, run your own scans, self-host it, or fork it for your own product.

Fast to launch

Sign up, claim a slug, share your link, and start collecting testimonials in minutes.

How it works

Two simple flows: one for you, and one for your customers.

For the owner

  1. Sign up and pick a public slug, like /collect/your-name.
  2. Share your link on email, social media, your product, or anywhere customers see it.
  3. Review submissions in your dashboard. Approve the good ones, reject the rest.
  4. Copy the embed code and paste it on your marketing site, landing page, or docs.
  5. Upgrade to Pro if you need unlimited testimonials and no TrustLoop branding.

For the customer

  1. Open the public link you shared with them.
  2. Fill out the form with their name, email, company, role, star rating, and written testimonial.
  3. Submit it. The testimonial goes into a pending queue for your approval.
  4. Once approved, it appears in your embeddable widget automatically.

What the widget does

The widget is a small piece of HTML you paste on your site. It fetches your approved testimonials from TrustLoop and displays them. As you approve more testimonials, the widget updates on its own — no need to re-paste the code or touch your site again.

What makes this different from a form or spreadsheet?

A normal form just collects data. TrustLoop collects, moderates, and publishes in one flow. You decide what goes live, and the public-facing widget keeps your site looking fresh with real social proof.
