Help & FAQ

Quick answers to common questions.

What is a testimonial?

A testimonial is a short written endorsement from a real customer. It usually includes their name, company, role, a star rating, and a few sentences about their experience. On TrustLoop, you collect them through a public link, approve the ones you like, and show them on your site with the embeddable widget.

What is TrustLoop?

TrustLoop is a micro-SaaS that lets you collect customer testimonials through a public link, moderate them, and display them on your site with an embeddable widget.

Is it free to use?

Yes. The free plan gives you up to 10 testimonials and a standard collection page. The Pro plan removes limits and branding for $9/month.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The widget is one line of HTML you can paste into any website builder, CMS, or static page.

How does moderation work?

Every testimonial goes into a pending queue. You approve or reject submissions from your dashboard before they appear publicly.

Where is my data stored?

By default the app uses an in-memory store for local development. In production you connect your own Supabase project and run the included schema.

Can I customize the look?

Pro users can remove TrustLoop branding. Custom domains, colors, and themes are on the roadmap.

Is TrustLoop open source?

Yes. The source code is on GitHub and you are welcome to inspect, fork, or self-host it.

How do I delete my account?

For now, contact the site owner. Account deletion through the dashboard is on the roadmap.

What is the difference between the collection page and the widget?

The collection page is where your customers submit testimonials. The widget is what you embed on your website to display the approved ones.

Can anyone submit a testimonial?

Yes — anyone with your public collection link can submit, but nothing shows up on your site until you approve it in the dashboard.

What does 'TrustLoop is currently in testing' mean?

The site is still being built and hosted for testing. Features may be added, removed, or changed, and anything here is subject to change.

How do I know when someone submits a testimonial?

New submissions appear in your dashboard immediately. Email notifications can be enabled once a Resend API key is configured.

What happens if I hit the free limit?

New testimonials stop being accepted once you reach the free limit. You can remove old ones or upgrade to Pro to keep collecting.
